Damon Heta has kickstarted his 2025 campaign in style, clinching victory at Players Championship 13 in Rosmalen. “The Heat” lived up to his nickname, edging out England’s Nathan Aspinall 8-6 in a hard-fought final to claim his first PDC ranking title of the year.

This latest triumph marks the ninth PDC ranking title of his career. Alongside his eight Players Championship wins, Heta also lifted the Gibraltar Darts Trophy on the European Tour back in 2022.

Thanks to the win in Rosmalen, Heta climbs to 7th in the PDC Order of Merit, now trailing sixth-placed Jonny Clayton by just over £30,000.

But there’s no time to rest. Players Championship 14 gets underway today, once again in Rosmalen. Can Heta go back-to-back and become the first player in 2025 to win on consecutive days? All eyes will be on "The Heat" to see if he can stay red hot.
