Darryl Pilgrim defeats Andy Boulton to seal PDC Challenge Tour Event 16 title

Friday's PDC Challenge Tour action has concluded with Darryl Pilgrim joining Wesley Plaisier in the winners' circle in Milton Keynes winning Event 16.

Pilgrim who is famed for topping average charts for playing one game and losing for instance on the ProTour and UK Open saw off Andy Boulton 5-1 in the final.

This after a tough run in which saw him defeat Scott Mitchell and Jelle Klaasen before taking down Boulton. It is a first Challenge Tour title for Pilgrim.

On this tour, spots for the 2023 Pro Tour and Tour Cards for 2024 and 2025 can be earned. The highest-ranked players on the PDC Challenge Tour Order of Merit are eligible for reserve spots on the Players Championships.

The number one and two on the Challenge Tour rankings will be offered a PDC Tour Card at the end of the season for the following two seasons. In addition, they may also participate in the World Darts Championship.
