Disappointment after France’s omission from World Cup of Darts: “Maybe another time if we work hard for it”

On Monday, the 32 countries involved at this year’s World Cup of Darts were confirmed with France a surprising omission from the lineup.

This mainly due to Thibault Tricole reaching the final of the recent WDF World Championship, while Jacques Labre has also played on the ProTour.

Instead Latvia and Switzerland were reinstated to the field alongside New Zealand which did cause some criticism.

“Obviously very disappointed not to have been invited by PDC to participate in this World Cup of Darts with Thibault Tricole but maybe another time if we work hard for it! Good luck to all the teams,” said Labre on the decision translated from French.
