Chris Dobey is through to the Third Round at the PDC World Championship after defeating Ron Meulenkamp but like most games in the evening session, it was one that went the distance.
Meulenkamp came back to force a decider from 2-0 down but Dobey kept his cool in the right moments to secure the win.
He spoke afterwards and was obviously delighted and after being pegged back, he said his mindset was that the match is never over.
Mensur Suljovic or Fallon Sherrock await for Dobey and he said while he doesn’t mind who he plays, he was here for Sherrock’s history making win and called it fantastic.
"It's an amazing feeling to win on that stage, it would've been really disappointing to lose here after a good year," said Dobey.
"When I hit double 14 to level in the last set I said 'I'm still here' and I always say it's never over until it's over.
"I don't mind who I play next but I thought Fallon was absolutely outstanding the other night, I was out there watching and the atmosphere was fantastic."
