Dobey after losing out in Danish Darts Open final to Chisnall: 'I'm definitely pleased with how I played'

Chris Dobey reached the final of the Danish Darts Open this past weekend losing out to Dave Chisnall in Copenhagen and he was pleased with how he played over the course of the event.
Dobey also all but confirmed his place in the World Matchplay in losing out to the St Helens ace and he said he came here to do just that. In terms of the final, he said that it just didn't happen but that 'Chizzy' deserved the win.
"I'm definitely pleased with how I played this weekend," said Dobey, who is now up to a career-high 30th on the PDC Order of Merit.
"I came here to do the job of securing my place in the World Matchplay for the first time and I've pretty much done that.
"It just didn't happen for me in the final but if I could pick a player to lose to it would be Dave, he's a great lad and he thoroughly deserves this win."

- Yes, a warning indeed. He is coming to the buffet table, out of his way. This class A goof continues to blither about how he is playing the best darts of his life and even had the laughable audacity to say he was in the best shape of his life. He had a lucky run at Blackpool and even luckier at the World Championship and is still living off that. - Congratulations Zehra, an excellent performance, 3-0 was harsh on Rebecca, she played well and actually won a decent trophy better than what Zehra won. I think it is extremely poor and insulting that the girls prize money is half of what the boys win. At that level it should be equal, girls wanting to take up darts will see the injustice of winnings and could think twice about taking up the sport. Ultimately, winning is the only thing that matters, but I would be vocal about prize money if the female equivalent was double the amount.richieburnettrocks08-12-2025
