Chris Dobey found his way through to the second round at the
Hungarian Darts Trophy and despite not being happy with his performance against Ted Evetts, the win holds some prior significance.
“I’m happy to get the win of course but I felt I lacked a little bit there; I obviously didn’t play great, I was expecting Ted to push us more.
“In my head I got beat by Ted on his debut on the
European Tour; that was always in my head and I wanted a little revenge but he’s a good lad.”
“My form is picking up and I can’t see why I can’t go far this weekend, I need a little bit of luck and need to play better than that.”
