Dobey seals second PDC ranking title with victory over Searle at Players Championship 28 (PDC Super Series 8)

Chris Dobey started the year with no titles to his name and was one of the highest ranked players in the darting elite not to pick up one.
Dobey now has two capping off a stellar day in Barnsley winning Day One of PDC Super Series 8 (Players Championship 28) defeating Ryan Searle 8-6 in the final.
It is a day which has seen his average not touch less than 97. The best of which was a 111 average to defeat Rob Cross in the semi-finals as 'Hollywood' once again produces on the ProTour with another title.
Dobey claimed an early break of throw in the final and was allowed to consolidate that immediately with Searle fluffing his lines on double 15.
He finally got off the mark but was broken again as another miss saw him left 4-1 down only for 'Heavy Metal' to break straight back with a 78 checkout to make it 4-2.
An 11-darter saw Searle consolidate and potentially find his way back into the final at 4-3 down.
A hold on double 32 brought Dobey back on track at 5-3. A 121 checkout on bull was good to break again and make it 6-3.
Searle rallied with back-to-back 180's but Dobey was sat on 132 ready to pounce which he could after Searle missed double 12 for 141.
It was an 11-darter to break back for Searle with Dobey only able to get one of two bulls needed for 132.
A hold with double 20 saw Searle pressure at 6-5 down with a pivotal time to come. Dobey missed the bull for a 170 to hold but returned to go one away after a 68 checkout couldn't be pinned by Searle.
He was handed six darts to finish it off on Searle's throw with 102 being left to finish but a match dart went begging at double 20 and Searle made it 7-6.
He left 56 on his throw though and he got another crack pinning double 10 for the title.

- He looks very healthy. I doubt he can run or anything. You need carbs for that. Carbs fuel your brain also. It is the preferred energy source for the brain. Carbs get broken down into glycogen fuel for your muscles. As a rider I totally need carbs. However for a dart player who doesn't need a brain or be fit this diet is perfect.medinabello23-12-2024
