Dragt stuns Cross as Searle eases past Vandenbogaerde at Baltic Sea Darts Open

Martijn Dragt for the second successive day at the Baltic Sea Darts Open in Kiel. After his surprising victory over Ricky Evans, he was too strong for Rob Cross in the second round.

Especially on the doubles, Dragt was tremendously effective with a finishing percentage of 60 percent (6/10).

His average (88.29) did end up slightly lower than Cross' average (93.82), but no doubt Dragt will not care about that.

The Dutchman broke Cross in the fourth leg with a 14-darter, but was immediately broken back. In the eighth leg Dragt was again ahead by a break, but he lost that too.

Dragt was finally allowed to start the last leg, and after a bad start he left 28 after five turns. Dragt then used his first match dart on double 14.

Ryan Searle also managed to qualify for the second round at the Baltic Sea Darts Open. 'Heavy Metal' had few problems with Mario Vandenbogaerde and won 6-1.
