Draw & Schedule for the 2020 German Darts Championship confirmed

The draw and schedule of play has been confirmed ahead of the 2020 German Darts Championship which is set to mark the return to action in the European Tour this weekend in Hildesheim.

The action will all be in front of a socially distanced crowd in a usual venue for the PDC in the Halle 39 which has long been used by the European Tour, as well as for Pro Tour and Q-School events.

It all starts on Friday with the seeded players coming in on Saturday. Among the main ties come from the Evening session with home hopes Max Hopp and Gabriel Clemens set to take on Reece Robinson and Steve West respectively.

Jeffrey de Zwaan will face in-form Devon Petersen in probably the match of the opening day. While Michael Smith will also be in a St Helens derby against Alan Tabern.

Host Nation Qualifiers and Associate Member Qualifiers will take place later on Thursday evening with only Jason Lowe and Jeff Smith awaiting their opponents. The rest will face each other.

On Saturday when the seeded players enter the fray, Michael van Gerwen will be against either Boris Koltsov or Steve Lennon. World Champion Peter Wright could have a tie against Michael Smith if he can get through that tie.

While defending champion Daryl Gurney will face Gabriel Clemens or Steve West, Gerwyn Price will potentially once again have a meeting with Devon Petersen if he can see off 'The Black Cobra'.
