Glen Durrant has been the stand-out player in this year's PDC World Matchplay with his run continuing on debut to the semi-finals after smashing James Wade on Thursday night.
Durrant will now take on Michael Smith in a hotly anticipated semi-final and he spoke after the victory against Wade saying he is now daring to dream of glory.
He commended the crowd and said that he thinks they are getting behind him due to him being an 'ordinary man' and he added that this week has been life-changing for him.
"At the start of the tournament I just wanted to prove to the PDC crowd that I could handle playing on this stage, and now I'm daring to dream of the title," said Durrant.
"I'm absolutely ecstatic, I'm living the dream right now. I think the crowd are taking to me because they see an ordinary man who is having a whale of a time.
"I'm having a wonderful week, that's the best way I can describe it. It's such a special moment for me, it's life-changing."
