Durrant ‘delighted’ to defeat in-form Ratajski in World Grand Prix first round

Glen Durrant once again produced the goods on the big stage to defeat the in-form Krzysztof Ratajski on Monday night at the World Grand Prix.
Ratajski kicked off superb, with three 15-dart legs in the first set. But the Pole was not able to keep this level going and started to miss more doubles to open his legs. This gave Durrant the opportunity to come back in the match.
He took the second set (3-1) and also came quickly ahead in the third set. Ratajski had two chances to force a decider, but missed them. Durrant then claimed the win with a 98 finish.
"Krzysztof has been playing so well recently so I'm delighted to win," said the reigning Lakeside Champion. "I'm pleased to be through but it didn't feel pretty and I've got a lot to work on.''
The Middlesbrough ace was happy with going through the second round, but not with the form he shown in the first round. However, he saw one positive thing as well. "I have to work on my scoring, but my doubles were a positive'', he added.
