Durrant hits 110 average in whitewash win over Mansell, Gurney and Price also impress in first round victories

Durrant in particular smashed in a 110 average in easing past Mickey Mansell with a whitewash win. Gurney got past a potential banana skin in Cameron Menzies with a 6-2 win where he averaged 102.2 in the process.

Price didn't have as easy as a route defeating Mario Robbe 6-3 but he averaged 103.6 in the process. Other big performances came from Andy Boulton who averaged 108.5 in easing past Simon Stevenson and Conan Whitehead again who carried on from his 115 exploits hitting 103.5 during victory over Vincent van der Meer.

Peter Wright though didn't have the same joy losing out to Steve West and Michael Smith also headed out losing to Jamie Lewis.
