Entries Players Championship 21 & 22: Littler, Anderson and Aspinall absent as Humphries, Van Gerwen, Price lead

Entries have been confirmed for the next Players Championship double header which is due to take place between June 16-17 at Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan, as the sport's top stars compete for £15,000 per event.

Both tournaments will feature 128 players comprised of PDC Tour Card Holders and PDPA Associate Members with Luke Humphries, Gian van Veen and Michael van Gerwen leading the way. Wessel Nijman, a winner of five Players Championship titles in 2026 also headlines as him and Chris Dobey aim to continue their incredible years so far. Of those deciding against playing, they include Nathan Aspinall and Luke Littler.

They have spent most of the season not involved on the ProTour, in particular Luke Littler. Also for the most part some of the World Series names are taking it easier given they play in New York the weekend either so are either playing the ProTour or Slovak Darts Open that week. Like Humphries, who will not play in Slovakia, but he will play in Wigan.

Gary Anderson is also not involved, the same can be said for Matthias Ehlers and Stefaan Henderyck. Joe Hunt, Derek Coulson, Tommy Lishman, Daniel Ayres and Tommy Morris will take their place.

Of course this is pending other withdrawals from other players likely on the day or around the tournaments starting post the World Cup of Darts this weekend so it will be updated nearer the time. But for now there are minimal withdrawals for these tournaments.
