Entries Players Championship 9 and 10: Luke Littler continues ProTour boycott as Van Gerwen and Anderson also absent in Wigan next week

The entry list for the next Players Championship double-header has been confirmed. The PDC ProTour heads to Wigan in mid-April, where the 2026 Pro Tour season continues.

Players Championship 9 and 10 are scheduled for April 13 and 14 at the Robin Park Tennis Centre. Each tournament carries a £15,000 winner’s prize, with a total purse of £150,000 shared among the field.

Both days feature a 128-player field. That line-up consists of PDC Tour Card holders and PDPA Associate Members, who will be in action across the two days.

The entrants include world number two Luke Humphries and Gian van Veen, the reigning European champion. Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen are absent in Wigan, as are Gary Anderson, Pero Ljubic, Oskar Lukasiak, and Ryan Searle.

The absent Tour Card holders are replaced by Joe Hunt, Tommy Lishman, Aden Kirk, Martijn Dragt, Jack Tweddell, and Tommy Morris, the highest-ranked players on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit.

Alongside Humphries and Van Veen, players such as Nathan Aspinall, James Wade, Stephen Bunting, Jonny Clayton, and Josh Rock mean several other elite names will be present at the upcoming Pro Tour double-header. For these players too, competing in Players Championship events is the only route to qualifying for the Players Championship Finals, the last major before the World Darts Championship in late November.
