He may already be the world darts champion at age 18, but behind the wheel, Luke Littler is not succeeding for now. The young darts phenomenon has now failed his theory test for the fourth time.
On the darts stage, "The Nuke" has been pulverizing records since his spectacular entrance 18 months ago, but in the classroom, things appear to be different. For now, the exam room seems to be the only place where Littler fails to hit the bullseye.
Via Instagram on Wednesday, he shared his latest disappointment with his followers, including a photo of the dreaded result letter. The announcement was clear: "I am sorry to tell you that you have failed your car theory exam."
Littler passed on the multiple-choice questions with a convincing 45 out of 50, but stumbled on the hazard recognition section. There he was, stuck at 41 out of 75 points—just under the required limit.
With the dry text "4th time and counting," accompanied by a nauseous sick emoji, Littler indicated via his Instagram Story that frustration is starting to mount.

Littler also took offense at his TV appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox. Friend and fellow Goggleboxer AngryGinge couldn't resist poking, "You can do all this, but you can't pass your driving theory!" - a jab that was received with a grin.
World Matchplay
Still, Littler will have to refocus soon, as a serious assignment awaits in the World Matchplay, which starts this weekend in Blackpool. In the first round on Sunday, he will meet the experienced Ryan Searle.
Littler is chasing his first Matchplay title there, in a year in which he has already collected two World Series titles, five major tournaments, and 13 PDC titles. He is also still the youngest player ever to have a live nine-darter on television.
Behind the wheel, it may take a while, but on the stage, Luke Littler remains unmatched for now.
