It hasn't taken
Luke Littler long to establish himself as one of the best darters in the world. As it turns out, he's not too bad with a football at his feet either.
Littler, a well-known Manchester United fan, recently showed off his footballing capabilities. Set a crossbar challenge by YouTube stars 'Angry Ginge' and 'PieFace', Littler steadied himself, and left-footed, immediately pinged the ball onto the bar from the edge of the box. 'The Nuke' then followed with a second attempt that was even better than his first, whipping the ball onto the crossbar from nearly 25 yards.
Fans on Twitter were impressed with Littler's performance, with comments such as "The Nuke got some tekkers." A second joked: “F*ck sake he’s good at everything,” while a third added: “Luke can ping a ball ya know, I am surprisingly impressed!”
Littler came agonizingly close to a hat trick, with his third and final attempt landing just under the crossbar. In nine attempts from various distances, Littler hit the woodwork three times.
Given his accuracy on the crossbar, Littler may have put himself up for "Soccer Aid," a competition for charity. In an interview with JackMaate's Happy Hour podcast, Littler already called himself one of the contenders: "100 per cent. I’ve seen they have only got about 10 people down, so if they are watching – get me in, I’m definitely not playing in goal if I play for Soccer Aid. Up front."
