The Gibraltar Darts Trophy is due to take place this weekend from Friday 14 - Sunday 16 October as the final stop on the European Tour and the last time the PDC will visit the Rock at least for now.

Next year the tournament is not part of the calendar for the first time in ten years with it played since 2013, a year into the European Tour's inception. Gerwyn Price is the defending champion defeating Mensur Suljovic 8-0 a year ago.

Also involved pending withdrawals include Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, Michael Smith, Rob Cross and Damon Heta as the top seeds.

Steve Beaton, Chris Dobey, Josh Rock, Jim Williams and John Henderson are among the Tour Card holders, with Kenny Neyens, Wesley Plaisier, Marko Kantele and Karel Sedlacek qualifying through the various routes.

There will also be four Host Nation Qualifiers with the big question being, will Dyson Parody who famously ran Michael van Gerwen close and is well known for his boisterous persona on stage be involved? That takes place on October 13.
