This weekend, the Lokhalle in Göttingen will be the battleground of the European Darts Trophy, where from Friday, March 21 to Sunday, March 23, they will compete for the title at the second Euro Tour event of the season.
In early March, the first Euro Tour tournament of the year was won by Luke Littler, who was the strongest at the Belgian Darts Open in Wieze for the second year in a row. However, 'The Nuke' is missing from this weekend's European Darts Trophy.

World number one Luke Humphries will be in Göttingen, Germany, as will Michael van Gerwen. The Dutchman managed to win the last edition of this tournament in 2018, so seven years later he may try to regain the title. Indeed, in recent years this Euro Tour tournament had disappeared from the calendar, but is making its comeback on the Euro Tour calendar because an additional tournament has been added compared to recent years.
Among the top-16 seeded players and will enter from the second round include Humphries, Rob Cross, Gerwyn Price, Nathan Aspinall, Peter Wright, James Wade, Gary Anderson and Dimitri van den Bergh.
In the first round of the European Darts Trophy, the sixteen players who qualified through the Pro Tour ranking are paired with a player who secured qualification through a qualifier. These players include Joe Cullen, Alan Soutar, Connor Scutt, Callan Rydz, Kevin Doets, Niko Springer, Ricky Evans and Boris Krcmar.
The first round will take place on Friday. The top-16 seeded players enter the tournament on Saturday in the second round. The conclusion of the tournament follows on Sunday, with the third round first in the afternoon session. Sunday evening will be followed by the quarterfinals, semifinals and final.
