Another big name has decided not to travel to the
Austrian Darts Open.
Jonny Clayton will also skip the trip to Austria, as became clear when the draw for the Euro Tour event in Graz was announced.
The
Austrian Darts Open will be played from May 8 to May 10 in Graz, Austria. For years, this Euro Tour event has been plagued by withdrawals from the world’s elite because the venue is difficult to reach.
Earlier, Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, Gerwyn Price, Stephen Bunting, Gary Anderson, and Nathan Aspinall had already opted out of this tournament. Clayton is therefore the next withdrawal.
Clayton has enjoyed some success at the Austrian Darts Open in the past, lifting the trophy at this event in 2018 and 2023. His vacant spot will be taken by Madars Razma, who was the highest-ranked loser in the final round of the Tour Card Holder Qualifier.
He previously won the
green jacket also known as the janker twice, but has decided not to head from the Premier League to Graz like most of the line-up.
