Last weekend the World Cup of Darts was held in Frankfurt. The final win went to England, which won 10-6 over Austria in the final.
Forty countries participate in the World Cup of Darts every year and the tournament gives fans the chance to meet new faces from around the world. Spain has been a regular at the tournament since its inception in 2010, and this year Jose Justicia and Jesus Noguera got to represent their country.
Noguera in particular caught the eye, although not exactly because of his performance on stage. No, the 34-year-old Spaniard looked very much like former top footballer Gonzalo Higuain, according to many fans on social media. On social media, one fan said, "What is Gonzalo Higuain doing playing darts for Spain?" A second said: "Prime Higuain aswell." Another asked: "Why is Higuaín playing darts for Spain?"
"Noguera looks so much on Gonzalo Higuain," another quipped.

Higuain, a 75-time former Argentina international, spent most of his career playing for European teams. For example, the striker netted for Real Madrid, Napoli and Juventus, among others. In 2022, Inter Miami put a stop to his career.
Spain, whether with or without a Higuain lookalike, went out ingloriously at the last World Cup of Darts in the group stage after defeats against Sweden and Gibraltar.
