Prakash Jiwa will make his
PDC World Darts Championship debut later this year after defeating multiple time qualifier Nitin Kumar in the final 6-4 in Surat, India.
Jiwa went 5-0 up and was seemingly cruising but Kumar came back to within a leg at 5-4 before missing three darts to force a decider which allowed Jiwa to seal his spot after losing to his final opponent in the Indian Championship yesterday.
It is an interesting story for 'The Apache' who is a multiple time Tour Card holder and well known previously for his prowess of getting through Q-School.
Based in Rugby in Warwickshire, he was born in the UK but has Indian parents but was only able to go to the Qualifier this year which has prevented him from having the chance in the past. The previous rules stated that he had to live in India for more than two years to be able to play.
But after finally getting his chance, he has taken it with both hands and will now make his Ally Pally debut.
