Former world champion Jelle Klaasen joins Mach Darts: “Exactly what I need right now”

Jelle Klaasen has joined Mach Darts Management. The former world champion will work with Marco Vrolijk and Ronnie Rickner, who have created a tailored programme through their management agency to guide the 41-year-old Dutchman into the next phase of his darts career.

Klaasen, who won the BDO world title in 2006, is enthusiastic about the new partnership. After talks with Mach Darts, he became convinced that the management’s approach matches what he currently needs.

“We had a great conversation, and I genuinely feel that the way Mach Darts operates and supports its players is exactly what I need at this point in my career,” said Klaasen.

The Dutchman wants to build his level step by step in the coming period. The focus is not on quick results, but on a gradual improvement of his game. “I really appreciate where they, as a management team, put the emphasis, and I believe this is the right environment to take my next steps. Right now we’re calmly working to bring my game back to the level I know I can reach, step by step, with a clear eye on the future.”

Expectations around the collaboration are high at Mach Darts as well. Vrolijk is pleased his management can add a former world champion to the roster.
