Gabriel Clemens will make his return to the World Darts Championship on Thursday, December 21. During this tournament, he will meet Gian van Veen and Man Lok Leung in the second round.
In an interview with SR Sportarena, the "German Giant" revealed that he was not very impressed or even worried about van Veen's abilities. "Why should I worry about that?" was his first reaction. "I'm still ahead of him in the world rankings. I didn't play the best year ever. It may have been a shaky year, but I did get a good result at the last tournament before the World Darts Championship,'' Clemens pointed to his semifinal place at the Players Championship Finals.
According to Clemens, he owes it to his standing to make it to the third round. "I am the seeded player and therefore the favourite. I will approach it that way and try to concentrate on my game and hopefully I will make it through a round.''
