Gary Anderson has picked up right where he left off on the Pro Tour this Monday afternoon. After taking overall victory last time out at Players Championship 2, 'The Flying Scotsman' has race to an early win at PC3 averaging 112 in the process.
Up against the Dutch-Swede, Anderson ruthlessly fired an average of 112.02 in a 6-3 win, getting himself off to a near perfect start to the day.
Elsewhere, Michael van Gerwen recovered from trailing 2-3 against current Lakeside champion, Andy Baetens. 'Mighty Mike' got back level at 3-3 and took the lead with a 12-darter. Van Gerwen then finished the job with two 17-darters.
Michael Smith, Damon Heta and Ryan Searle are also among the early winners in Leicester with respective wins over Martijn Dragt, Jules van Dongen and Patrick Geeraets.
Dave Chisnall's disappointing start to the season continues however, although Gerwyn Price impressed with an average of over 104 in victory over Steve Beaton.
