Gawlas turns off the heat with superb Heta win, Van der Voort edges past Schindler in style

The second round continues at the Czech Darts Open in Prague with Adam Gawlas and Vincent van der Voort sealing their spots in the final day.

In a night which sees three Czech players in action, it is their top ranked star initially flying the flag after switching off the Heat, Damon Heta in a superb victory.

Heta has been superb this week on the ProTour but was flat against Gawlas a bit like Michael Smith to end the afternoon session and his poor doubling was taken advantage of. He hit only 4/16 as Gawlas produced a clinical 6-4 win to move through.

He is joined by 'The Dutch Destroyer' who broke through 'The Wall' Martin Schindler in a 6-5 victory and he did it in style taking out 121 on the bull.

This was alongside a 99.5 average and 60% on the doubles and he will now face the winner of Gerwyn Price or Adrian Lewis tomorrow afternoon. While for Gawlas, it is the winner of the last game between Ryan Searle and Ritchie Edhouse.
