Another qualifier has been confirmed for the PDC World Championship in the form of the EADC Qualifier in Dimitry Gorbunov who will make his debut at the Alexandra Palace later this year.

Usually in years gone by, it has been Boris Koltsov or Aleksandr Oreshkin who has featured in the showpiece event but this year it will be a debutant.

He defeated Roman Obhukov 3-1 in sets averaging 75.89. This fluctuated though with a 92.8 average to reach the final.

Koltsov lost out in the Quarter-Final while the other big name in Aleksei Kadochnikov wasn't there. Another name was Andrey Pontus who had his chance to become the first Belarusian to play at the event but he lost in the semi-finals to Obukhov.

🇷🇺 Dimitriy Gorbunov has qualified for his first PDC World Championship. The Russian beat Roman Obhukov 3-1 in sets in the final, averaging 75.89. He averaged 92.8 in his semi-final, so we can expect all sort of things at the Worlds.
