The field for the European Darts Matchplay has been confirmed after the conclusion of the Host Nation and West & South Europe Qualifiers on Thursday night.
In terms of the Host Nation Qualifiers, Marvin Wehder will make his debut after seeing off Kevin Knopf.
Florian Hempel will make his second appearance of the season after edging past Kevin Munch who will not get to play in front of his home crowd for a second week running.
Steffen Siepmann will though and after showing his prowess at times on the European Tour he will hope to show that again in Mannheim. Karsten Koch also won through to the first round.
In the West & South Europe Qualifier, Cody Harris was the standout after edging past Stefan Bellmont 6-4. Wesley Plaisier saw off Jimmy Hendriks in the other qualifier 6-3.

- This coming from the lowest ranked player in it who was only selected by his paranoia for attention from the crowd by having to conduct the crowd to his walk on music. I know a lot of darts fans who cannot stand Arsepinall, oddly I know people who don't like darts but frequently attend events for the atmosphere and have no idea who was playing.
