Chris Dobey is into the Quarter-Finals of the PDC World Darts Championship where he will face Gerwyn Price as he looks to finally get over that hump of the last eight.

He saw off Kevin Doets 4-3 in a comeback win and he lauded Peter Wright afterwards with the message of write him off at your peril despite saying he's tried mind games in the past.

"I'm delighted to be here. I felt I gifted a few of them sets but dug in when I needed to and I've always said I'm quite stubborn and like to stay on double 16. Today was the first time I thought if I don't change I'm gone and it worked double 10 paid off," said Dobey.

"I gifted him the fourth and fifth, I should've been 3-1 up and won it 4-1. On another day I do win 4-1 but like I said a good player grinds the game out."

He looked ahead to the Gerwyn Price tie and what he needs to do to prevail against The Iceman.

"He's going to give it and it doesn't bother me whatsoever. He's probably done the same as what I've done the past couple of games, he's missed chances and obviously he's survived match darts against Joe (Cullen). It's going to be another battle that's for sure."

"I just need to start hitting doubles when I need to. My scoring is always going to be there, I'm probably up there with the best of them in the scoring. I need to get on top from the beginning and start to hit the doubles."

"The first Quarter-Final was an absolute hammering by MVG but I know where I went wrong last year and I've just got to go out there and show that I can get over the hurdle and get the job done."

While he also spoke about Wright and his win over Luke Humphries and how in his view, he was never finished.

"Look what Peter's won in the game, you can never underestimate him. It was a great game. Luke played fantastic. He can't be unhappy with that because he did play well and Peter was playing brilliant and still managed to change his darts which is daft. That's Peter all over but you can never rule that out. Maybe I can maybe meet him in the final."

"There's certain players that might say he's finished but he's not finished yet. He's still a great player but you've got to respect that. He's tried in the past with a few mind games but you've got to take it with a pinch of salt and get on with it."
