Damon Heta finally has the reward for his brilliant efforts in the past few months with a second
Players Championship title ending the run of Gary Anderson who came so close.
But it was Heta who produced a 107 average to deny Anderson who himself hit 103 in an 8-6 defeat in Barnsley.
It was a tough run for Heta to the title who saw off Dimitri van den Bergh, Daryl Gurney and Steve Beaton among others in the latter stages.
While for Anderson, it was another evidence of how much his form had come on albeit with no title to show for it.
