Dimitri Van den Bergh is in the quarterfinals of the
World Grand Prix for the second time in his career. 'The Dreammaker' defeated Dave Chisnall 3-1 in the second round and now faces Joe Cullen.
Van den Bergh sealed it 3-1 to dispatch the sixth seed who some had as ever as an outside shout for this week in Leicester but now sets up an interesting dynamic with the winner then facing
Mike de Decker or James Wade for a spot in the final. All blown wide open by the demise of Michael van Gerwen in particular, it is a big chance now for a player like Van den Bergh to take the tournament by the scruff of the neck.
"Dave is a fantastic player. He's done an amazing year already, so for me, yeah the nerves was definitely there," Van den Bergh reflected in his post-match press conference. "I've got another win'against Chisnall, one of the best players in the world for at least a decade. That's incredible, so I'm buzzing, plus its another quarterfinal."

Besides Van den Bergh, a second Belgian managed to qualify for the quarterfinals as Mike De Decker stunned Gary Anderson on Thursday night. "I had a bit of a chat with Gary Anderson afterwards and he was like, fantastic. What a player. This guy was on fire," Van den Bergh explained afterwards. "He did everything right. Like, who does that? Who gives Gary Anderson only five darts at a double?" The Belgian laughs.
"I've been saying for a long time what an incredible talent Mike is, now it's finally starting to come out. He has the right people behind him and 'The Sky is the Limit' for him. Moreover, it's great for Belgium that here we are now with two players in the quarter-finals of the World Grand Prix, I hope the whole country is proud of us."
