The 2025 European Championship takes place this weekend and will be extensively broadcast on television. The tournament runs from Thursday 23rd to Sunday 26th October in Dortmund, with live coverage available via ITV4 in the UK, through the PDC's worldwide broadcast partners, including DAZN and Viaplay, and on PDCTV.
For darts fans in the United Kingdom, ITV4 will be the place to be throughout the weekend. Across the wider world, however, the safest bet for viewing coverage is PDC's own, PDC.tv service, with coverage available to all those outside the UK, Germany, Austria & Switzerland.
The first round takes place on Thursday the 23rd and Friday the 24th of October, with coverage starting from 18:00 UK time on ITV4 on both nights and running right through until 22:00. The 16 winners from Thursday and Friday will then return to the stage on Saturday, the 25th of October, for the second round (last 16), with coverage of a double session from 11:45 - 16:00 in the afternoon, and then 18:00 until 22:00 in the evening. Finally, on Sunday, the 26th of October, another double session is in store, with the quarter-finals in the afternoon (11:45 - 16:00), followed by the semi-finals and the final in the evening (18:00 - 22:00).
This year marks the 18th edition of the European Championship. Last year’s title was claimed in sensational fashion by Ritchie Edhouse, who defeated Jermaine Wattimena in the final. However, the Englishman failed to qualify this time around and will be unable to defend his title after finishing outside the top-32 of the European Tour Order of Merit for the 2025 season. The most successful players in the tournament’s history remain Michael van Gerwen and Phil Taylor, both of whom have won the European Championship four times.
