Humphries and Gawlas move into PDC World Youth Championship final

The PDC World Youth Championship final has been confirmed which will take place during the Players Championship Finals in Minehead later this month.

Luke Humphries will take on Adam Gawlas after a brilliant day of action at the Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan.

Humphries was one of the favourites coming into proceedings and came into today in great form having won two events on the Development Tour to cement second place in the Order of Merit in his final year.

After a few close shaves in previous years in making the final in Minehead, he has finally done it in his final year of eligibility.

This comes after wins over Berry van Peer, Niels Zonneveld, Jeffrey de Zwaan and Keane Barry; all players who similar to 'Cool Hand Luke' perform towards the higher echelons of the Development Tour.

Gawlas on the other hand continues his rise. He will also be involved in the JDC World Youth Final at the end of the year and is now part of the PDC one.

This comes after also making a European Tour for the first time earlier this year at the age of 17 having only taken up the sport recently.

The Czech ace having defeated Max Hopp, Harry Ward, Callan Rydz and Ryan Meikle en route; now has a chance to be involved at the Alexandra Palace twice this year if he wins and both players will also be involved at the Grand Slam of Darts come what may next year as well.
