Hunt knocks out first seeded player at World Championship

Adam Hunt has toppled the first seeded player of the 2020/21 PDC World Darts Championship with a commanding 3-0 victory over an out of sorts Jamie Hughes.

Hunt has been in-form as of late and capitalised on a poor display from 'Yozza' who averaged just 75.

To begin the tie, Hunt breezed through the first set in consecutive legs with Hughes averaging 72.

It was soon a 2-0 lead for 'The Hunter' as he took out double four to claim it 3-1 and go within one of the match. A big comeback was needed from Hughes.

But it wasn't to come as Hunt held throw to go within one of the match on double 20 and a 14 darter on double four with Hughes well abck concluded the tie.

It was a professional job from the North East ace as he averaged 91 with four 180's and 34% on the doubles.
