In August 2025 at the New Zealand Darts Masters final, Luke Littler averaged 115.02, a record-breaking performance that surpassed all previous World Series final averages. This extraordinary three‑dart average underscores just how dominant Luke Littler was on the night.
In Luke Humphries words “I felt powerless against untouchable Luke Littler. I played pretty well today but when you run into a 115 average there's not much you can do.” Littler beat Humphries 8-4. Peter Wright holds the current Televised/Streamed record since stats were available with a 123.53 on a Players Championship against Krzysztof Ratajski.
What also needs to be stated is Luke Littler kept this average up over a 12 leg match, whereas Peter Wright completed his 123.5 average in a 6 leg thrashing over Krzysztof Ratajski. So for Littler to complete his over 12 legs and in ` higher pressure match, even though his average was slightly lower, is his better/ harder to do?
Dave Chisnall managed a 118.66 average in a 6-0 win over Mark Webster in the last 32 back in 2017. Yet again do you believe Chisnall’s average was harder to achieve or Littler’s as it was a closer match against the world number 1 in a final. Only Phil Taylor has achieved a higher average than Luke Littler in more legs. Taylor completed a 118.14 average in a 10-3 win over Gary Anderson back in 2009. We all know Littler is going for Taylor’s records, could this be another? Do you think Luke Littler has the chance to beat Peter Wrights average in his career and go above that and do it in a final?
