"I try not to think about it": Lennon fighting to keep PDC Tour Card, through to Cross clash

Steve Lennon won a battle of missed doubles seeing off Andy Boulton at the International Darts Open and is looking to keep the pressure off going forward.

"I thought I scored pretty well but my finishing was brutal beyond belief. I'm just happy to get the win, that's all that matters at the end of the day.

"I thought I played really well in most of these European Tour qualifiers but they are so hard to get through that when you make it, you kind of put yourself under too much pressure. That's my problem lately."

Going into an important year to keep his Tour Card, he is trying to stay grounded and not think about it too much.

"I've had some horrible draws last and this year. Sometimes the draw needs to go in your favour and sometimes you need a bit of luck. I haven't thought about it this year as last year I was really under pressure watching the World Championship. If I keep it this year, just treat it as a freebie year. Whatever happens, happens. If I can make it into the World's and PC Finals, who knows. I try not to think about it."
