Russ Bray retired from full-time refereeing duties at the end of the 2024 World Darts Championship. The iconic 'Voice of Darts' can still be heard occasionally at matches, but is bow searching for opportunities away from the sport.

For example, Bray has admitted he would love to participate in the hit ITV show 'I'm a Celebrity... Get me out of here!' “I’d certainly do I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! I think I could handle all of that. I don’t think I’d have any problems there," Bray says in quotes collected by the Daily Star. “I’ve no problem eating weird and wonderful things. I’d certainly be up for going into the jungle. I’d love to have a crack at it. I chatted with Eric Bristow when he came out of the jungle a few years back, and he loved it. It just sounded like such good fun.”

Bray also has his own app, the Russ Bray Darts Scorer Pro, where his voice reads out the scores during your home matches, including pronouncing your name, and telling you the what you require. Since the emergence of Luke Littler, however, that app has burst into a new wave of popularity.

"I get paid by the app monthly, and after the World Championships last year, the big pay day for that one comes in February," he explains. "Looking at what I normally get from it every month, I’d say the month after Luke Littler made the final, I got paid 12, maybe 13 times more than what I normally get.And then the following month was around nine times, and the month after was around eight times. So in those three months, it was just obscene.”
