Nathan Aspinall has been a hot topic in the darting world recently, with his Premier League Darts selection coming under scrutiny, even from fellow pros. As such, with 'The Asp' set to represent the PDC at the 2025 Bahrain Darts Masters later this afternoon, the Englishman is doing so with a point to prove.
Although long-time leading light of the PDC and winner of two major titles, the UK Open and the World Matchplay, ongoing battles with injury and the dreaded dartitis have seen Aspinall struggle over the course of the last 12 months. There were however, signs of life at the recent PDC World Darts Championship, where Aspinall reached the quarter-finals before losing out to eventual champion Luke Littler.

"I'm really happy to be back in Bahrain," says Aspinall to the PDC ahead of the 2025 World Series of Darts opener. "It would be amazing to win - it's been quite a while since I won a World Series event but I've got quite a tough first game so we'll see what happens."
In the first round, Aspinall faces off against PDC China Champion Xiaochen Zong, with a clash against world number one and former world champion Luke Humphries potentially laying in wait for the winner in the quarter-finals.
