It was James Wade’s night in Wollongong as he dashed the hopes of Aussie star Brody Klinge to win the Australian Darts Masters title. He celebrated his first ever World Series of Darts title by dancing at the airport in front of the trophy.

After Jonny Clayton ruled supreme in Auckland, it was the turn of Wade to dominate the field as he stamped his authority in Australian enroute to a fantastic title triumph.
His best performance came in the first round against a hapless Tim Pusey. Averaging 112.73, ‘The Machine’ demolished the Aussie 6-0 to set up a clash against Stephen Bunting in the quarter-finals. This was much closer but Wade managed to come out on top to prolong his title ambitions.
He then took down Gerwyn Price 7-4 to set up a final against Klinge, Australia’s new darting hero after what was the most unlikely of runs. However, even him on cloud nine could not stop a rampant Wade from collecting the title.
The Englishman won 8-5 while averaging 101.62, breaking new ground and adding another valuable title to his already stacked CV.

Waltzing Wade shows his best moves after title triumph

The celebrations continued all the way to the airport as Wade prepared for the long flight back to England. The 43-year-old was absolutely over the moon to seal the title, and showed that with a video on social media showcasing him pulling off some moves in front of the trophy precariously being placed on his suitcase.

The usually serious and focused Wade showed a different side to him as he waltzed towards the trophy while pulling off some of his best moves. He finished with a choreography point towards the camera.
The caption read: "I’ve got a flight in a few hours so I’d better calm down, but this is what it feels like to win my first World Series event. After all these years, there’s still nothing like lifting a trophy."
Two decades Wade has been competing at the top of the sport, winning trophies and battling against the best. However, these scenes still prove his hinger and motivation to win more and continue competing among the best.

His decorated career continues to brew up more silverware, and there is the sense that he is not quite done yet. With Autumn fast approaching, the major tournaments are set to come thick and fast as Wade looks to back up this showing Down Under with more accolades and triumphs on the oche.
