"I've got a lot to learn to take that next level in my career": Humphries disappointed after Smith defeat at Nordic Darts Masters

Luke Humphries will not add a first World Series title of his career this weekend at the Nordic Darts Masters after losing out 10-7 to World Champion, Michael Smith.

A late comeback aside, Humphries couldn't match Smith who landed eight 180's en route to a semi-final spot and he took disappointment but also some positives from the defeat.

"Disappointed to lose as always! But credit to Michael Smith there! I’ve got a lot to learn to take that next level in my career, to many bottom and top wires, not enough 180s I have to improve that before I start putting myself into the business end of tournaments a lot more," said Humphries.

"That will come with more experience that I’m already gaining! thanks as always to the PDC for the invites to this years World Series. I’ll make sure that I get better and better so I’m in them a lot more."
