James Wade bolsters World Matchplay hopes, set to face Raymond van Barneveld in Last 16 of Players Championship 13

The Last 16 is here at Players Championship 13 and we have reached the business end of proceedings in Milton Keynes with James Wade, Stephen Bunting, Jonny Clayton and Ross Smith all still involved.

Wade in particular saw off Nathan Aspinall 6-5 in a typical Wade win as Kevin Doets faltered and handed him the initiative to sneak into the last World Matchplay position. A vital win for his Blackpool hopes. He is currently facing Raymond van Barneveld.

Michael Smith and Gary Anderson lost though with Wessel Nijman and Radek Szaganski removing the two biggest names left in. Stephen Bunting is the highest seed left. He faces Wesley Plaisier. Others still involved include Jonny Clayton who faces Radek Szaganski and Ross Smith who takes on Ricky Evans. Who seals the title from here?
