Knops nearly didn't turn up to Q-School final day before outright win : "My girlfriend said you're going to stay and now this happened"

Robbie Knops has qualified for his Tour Card through Q-School and it could've been a completely different outcome for the Belgian if he hadn't of listened to the advice from his girlfriend.

The final day was a very successful one for the 40 year old as he got all the way to the final and beat Richard Veenstra. After a tense week at Q-School it looked like a difficult task for Knops to get himself a Tour Card as he started the final day in 29th position in the Order of Merit, so much so he said in a post match interview with the PDC that he was contemplating going home.

However he knew he had got himself the PDC Tour Card before his final match against Richard Veenstra - which may never have happened if his girlfriend hadn't of intervened.

“I wanted to go home this morning but my girlfriend said you have got to stay and now this happened – I am happy.”
