Kurz was seriously impressive on debut nearly hitting a nine-dart finish, hitting four 180's and having a high checkout of 101 and pouncing on 15 percent on doubles from his opponent.
Kurz coasted to the first set making a brilliant start to proceedings winning it in consecutive legs; after Wilson had missed six darts at doubles to begin the tie.
Wilson only got off the mark after being 2-0 down in the next set hitting a 101 checkout to halve the deficit; but it didn't do much as Kurz went and doubled his lead and Wilson was down at seven percent on his doubles missing 14.
Kurz started the requisite set by missing double 12 for a nine-darter; as the crowd held their collective breath as the German came the closest so far.
He pinned double six though the next time around as he hit a 10 darter but Wilson then went through a mini revival pouncing on missed doubles from Kurz to go on to claim the set 3-1.
Both players flirted their requisite double but it was Kurz who finally pinned it to take a break of throw into a pivotal set.
Kurz missed an 81 checkout on the bull but again Wilson couldn't pounce and the German youngster went one away. He hit a 76 checkout to claim victory.
