Darius Labanauskas came through against Steve Beaton to reach the 2020 PDC World Championship Quarter-Finals in an impressive run for the Lithuanian and he has the belief ahead of facing Michael van Gerwen.
Labanauskas admitted that if Van Gerwen doesn't show his best, it could be an advantage to him and that he wouldn't play darts if he didn't have the belief he could beat players like MVG.
"I have a great feeling of course, into the Quarter-Finals of this tournament. I'm very happy to be here again because here will always be winners," said Labanauskas to LiveDarts in the post match press conference.
"If he doesn't play so high and I can show my best, maybe we will have a good fight. If I don't believe then why do I play darts?
On potentially getting to the Top 32 in the rankings, it is something Labanauskas openly admits he doesn't concern himself about but he will be pleased if he can reach that point: "If it's possible for Top 32, I don't know I don't watch my rankings but if I can go to Top 32 it's early but it's very good."
