Recently, the PDC changed their boards to the new and seemingly improved Unicorn Eclipse Ultra but like it’s predecessor, it has courted some criticism including from Adrian Lewis.
Lewis took to Twitter to reveal that the boards were too soft meaning it’s easier for the darts to fall out and that he even had to use longer points to alleviate this.
“Last week the boards were great, this week this batch has been far too soft to the extent that I’ve had to change my points to a long 36mm on my darts which after nearly 20 years of playing I shouldn't have to do that,” he said.
Among the players to agree with Lewis in his replies included Bradley Brooks, Ricky Evans and Ryan Meikle who all agreed that they themselves encountered the soft boards this week.
