Lewis dumps out Price at first hurdle in heated clash, Van Gerwen ends home hopes for Sedlák

The Czech Darts Open continues with Adrian Lewis into the Last 16 for the first time in three years on the European Tour as he looks to continue his resurgence.

But as ever in a match against Gerwyn Price, there is no love lost between the pair evidenced by needle post match as Russ Bray had to separate them.

In the interview, Lewis said that Price called him a 'fat something' to which 'Jackpot' replied 'He doesn't obviously realise I'm an athlete' jokingly.

'The Iceman' will rue his luck as his barren spell on the European Tour continues. He went 3-1 up and looked to potentially be cruising but missing double 12 for a nine-darter was the start of Lewis' revival. He was soon in front at 4-3 and swept the tie from there hitting double 19 for a 6-3 win.

For Michael van Gerwen, it was a bit more straight forward as the Dutchman sealed a 6-2 win over Vítězslav Sedlák.

Sedlák was visibly nervous and this meant that Van Gerwen couldn't produced his best game and at times, tried to give his opponent encouragement which is rarely seen.

But in the end, MVG will face Mickey Mansell tomorrow after a 6-2 win which saw an average of 86 and 13 missed darts at doubles though from Van Gerwen.
