Lewis describes World Championship qualification as a massive bonus after tough year

Jamie Lewis claimed qualification for the 2020/21 PDC World Darts Championship this past Monday at the PDPA UK Qualifier.

Lewis has had a tough year so admitted World Championship qualification was merely a bonus for him and that he is not worried about keeping his Tour Card.

"On top of the world at the minute to be fair. So chuffed with qualifying, can't wait to go," said Lewis to The Darts Show podcast.

"I was in quite a bad place a few months ago. Only last month on the European Tour, I went and played dreadfully. I've been to see a few people and it's sort of helped me get through it. I'm on the road to getting back to normal. I was so happy, it's just a massive bonus."

"To be honest, I wasn't really thinking about my Tour Card. My main target was to play well. I wasn't really worried about my Tour Card, I think I still have to win a few games to keep it."
