The
Pro Tour season finally returns on Monday and Tuesday (May 12-13) with
Players Championship 15-16 set to take place at Halle 39 in Hildesheim. A usual ProTour haunt and here is how to watch all the action.
Michael van Gerwen is the only top name involved over the next few days with all of the Premier League Darts contingent set to skip proceedings.
Gerwyn Price, Nathan Aspinall, Stephen Bunting, Jonny Clayton, Rob Cross, Chris Dobey, Daryl Gurney, Luke Humphries, Luke Littler, Cameron Menzies, Haupai Puha, Josh Rock, Dimitri Van den Bergh, Jules van Dongen and Tim Wolters all skip proceedings.
Van Gerwen has not been great on the ProTour this year and will hope to put it together. But he face competition from the likes of Gary Anderson, Dave Chisnall, Joe Cullen, Ryan Searle, Michael Smith, James Wade and Peter Wright. Most of whom are usual ProTour stalwarts who seal titles and success.
A total of 125,000 pounds in prize money is distributed at each Players Championship tournament. The winner of the event receives the top prize of 15,000 pounds. With the European Tour taking precedence on weekends for the past few, the ProTour finally returns.
All matches of the four stream boards are broadcast live
via PDCTV. To do this, you need to create an account and purchase a subscription. There is a monthly subscription (£9.99) and annual subscription (£59.99) available. It is also possible to take out a two-day subscription for £3.99.
Also, live streams are available through various betting sites. With these websites, you usually need a balance of at least five pounds to access the stream offerings.
So far this season, the winners have been Rob Cross as well as Gerwyn Price, Chris Dobey, Ryan Searle, Joe Cullen, Gian van Veen, Gary Anderson, Martin Schindler, Josh Rock, Cameron Menzies and two more from 'The Iceman' who is the only player to win more than one.
