Price prevails in Wigan

The title goes to Gerwyn Price after a thrilling finale as he wins a first ranking title since the end of 2023.

He defeated Chris Dobey in the final 8-7 and heads onto the Premier League on Thursday full of confidence. Thanks for joining us over the last two days as the latest double header concludes.

Dobey to face Price in final

The final is set at Players Championship 2 with Chris Dobey set to face off against Gerwyn Price.

Price closed out a 7-5 victory over Ryan Searle sealing the deal with 99.2 average and 63% on the doubles. While Dobey edged out Ross Smith 7-4 averaging just shy of 99.

Semi-Final line-up set as Price dumps out Littler

The semi-final line-up is set at Players Championship 2 with Gerwyn Price the biggest name left in contention.

Price dumped out Luke Littler averaging 102 in a 6-5 narrow win. He faces Ryan Searle who lost his streak of reaching the final of the last two Players Championship 1 tournaments. How about Players Championship 2?

He downed Gian van Veen 6-3. Chris Dobey took care of Florian Hempel and will face Ross Smith who eased past top seed Dave Chisnall.

Luke Littler comes from behind to see off Nijman as Quarter-Finals set

The Quarter-Finals are set at Players Championship 2 with Luke Littler through but only just after seeing off Wessel Nijman.

Littler came from 4-2 down to defeat Nijman 6-4 with a 104. Gian van Veen averaged 102 in defeating Stephen Bunting who averaged 105 himself.

Gerwyn Price is also through as well as Ryan Searle, Chris Dobey, Florian Hempel, Ross Smith and Dave Chisnall.

Price wins Welsh derby, Littler eases through as Wright heads out

The Last 16 is here at Players Championship 2 with most big names still involved. Gerwyn Price prevailed in the all Welsh derby with Jonny Clayton 6-2 with a 101 average.

Also through is Luke Littler after seeing off Rusty-Jake Rodriguez 6-2 with a 98 average. Damon Heta, Stephen Bunting, Chris Dobey and Ross Smith are also through.

As is top seed Dave Chisnall. But Peter Wright, Joe Cullen, Mike de Decker and Luke Woodhouse head out in this round.

Beau Greaves is out in the Last 64 defeated by Krzysztof Ratajski in a narrow defeat in the second round as the Last 32.

The board finals begin now with Gerwyn Price v Jonny Clayton, Joe Cullen v Danny Noppert, Callan Rydz v Chris Dobey among the top ties.

Among those are Peter Wright who took down Sebastian Bialecki 6-0. While Luke Littler edged out Bradley Brooks 6-5.

Victory also for Mike de Decker over Tavis Dudeney, while Joe Cullen and Gerwyn Price have also made it through. Andrew Gilding, Ritchie Edhouse, James Wade are all out though.

Dominant Dobey into round 2

It's been a good start to the day for Premier League Darts star Chris Dobey. Hollywood has stormed into the second round with a 6-2 win over former Lakeside finalist Chris Landman, averaging over 102 in the process.
