Luke Humphries v Gary Anderson and Gerwyn Price v Chris Dobey among Quarter-Finals at Players Championship 26

The eight quarter-finalists of the 26th Players Championship tournament have been confirmed. Among others, Gerwyn Price, Peter Wright, Luke Humphries and Gary Anderson are among the remaining contenders.

Price dashed the title chances of Chris Landman. The Welshman was too strong for Landman, who had previously beaten James Wade, among others.

In the last eight, Price will face Chris Dobey. Dobey won 6-1 over Robert Grundy thanks to an average of 103. Humphries and Anderson are also in the same tournament half. Anderson impressed again by hitting an average of 108 in his match against Lee Evans (6-3). Humphries sidelined Matt Campbell 6-3.

At the other end of the draw, Wright is the biggest name. 'Snakebite' beat Dimitri van den Bergh 6-3 to qualify for the quarter-finals. Wright faces off with Ritchie Edhouse in his next match. Edhouse eliminated Andrew Gilding 6-3. The remaining quarter-final is between Ryan Joyce and Jose de Sousa. They won over Mervyn King and Keane Barry respectively.
