Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen headline as complete field for 2026 World Series of Darts Finals in Amsterdam confirmed

The complete field of players who will bid for the title at the World Series of Darts Finals, staged Spetember 17-20 at AFAS Live in Amsterdam has now been confirmed

The event serves as the climax to the World Series season. The top 24 on the World Series Order of Merit have qualified, along with the four highest-ranked players on the world ranking who were not yet qualified. The four winners from the Tour Card Holders Qualifier complete the field.

The World Series Order of Merit was topped by Michael van Gerwen, who lifted titles in Bahrain and Denmark earlier this year. Van Gerwen also reached the final of the Saudi Arabia Masters.

Heavy hitters such as Gerwyn Price, Luke Humphries, and Luke Littler will also line up in Amsterdam.

Gian van Veen will likewise take to the stage at AFAS Live. Van Veen reached the Bahrain Darts Masters final at the start of the year and finished fifth on the World Series Order of Merit. Danny Noppert is in too, after picking up valuable points during the Middle East double-header.

The list of qualifiers via the ranking also features the likes of Nathan Aspinall, Damon Heta, James Wade, Jonny Clayton, and Ross Smith. International names such as Brody Klinge, Raymond Smith, Man Lok Leung, Motomu Sakai, and Simon Whitlock will also start at the World Series Finals.

The PDC additionally issued invitations to the four highest-ranked players on the PDC Order of Merit who had not yet qualified. Those were Ryan Searle, Wessel Nijman, Chris Dobey, and Gary Anderson. The latter chose not to travel to Amsterdam, passing his spot to Jermaine Wattimena. That meant Wattimena did not need to play the qualifier and became the fifth Dutch entrant.

On Monday, August 24th, the Tour Card Holders Qualifier was played, allocating the final four berths. Kevin Doets booked his place there, as did Callan Rydz, Rob Cross, and Karel Sedlacek. A seventh Dutchman nearly joined them, but Dirk van Duijvenbode lost to Cross in the final round.

The opening round of the World Series Finals is split across two sessions on Thursday and Friday. The second round follows on Saturday, 19.09.2026, also played over two sessions.

The tournament concludes on Sunday, 20.09.2026, with a packed finals day. The quarter-finals are scheduled for the afternoon session, followed by the semi-finals and final in the evening.

The World Series of Darts Finals was won in 2025 by Michael van Gerwen. After wins over Wessel Nijman (6-5), Rob Cross (6-5), Luke Humphries (10-5), and Josh Rock (11-6), Van Gerwen proved too strong for Luke Littler in the final, 11-7.
